EU AI Act · Article 4 · FUNDAE-eligible

Get your whole team AI-literate and ready for the EU AI Act

Article 4 of the EU AI Act has made AI literacy a legal obligation since February 2025, and AESIA is now able to inspect. Our 5-hour course trains every employee, gives you an audit-ready record for each person, and we handle the FUNDAE paperwork for you.

  • FUNDAE-eligible, with the bonification paperwork handled by us
  • Six weeks from kickoff to a complete Article 4 evidence pack
  • Self-paced and online, so nobody has to stop working to take it
  • Your own AI policy built into the course, not a generic module
Enforcement is live since August 2026. Every month without training records counts against you if an inspector asks.

Why now

A policy isn't training, and inspectors know the difference

The EU AI Act is already in force, and most companies meet it with an AI policy that went out by email and hasn't been opened since. Article 4 asks for something else: proof that the people using AI actually understand it.

Feb 2025

Article 4 of the EU AI Act came into force. It applies to every company whose staff use AI at work, including ChatGPT, Copilot or Gemini.

Aug 2026

AESIA, Spain's AI supervisory agency, can now inspect and sanction. There is no grace period left.

Records

Inspectors ask who was trained and when. A per-employee training record is the evidence that counts, not the policy PDF.

€15M or 3%

Maximum fine for this level of non-compliance, whichever is higher, of annual global turnover.

Training your team now is the most direct way to reduce your exposure, and because the course is FUNDAE-eligible, you can fund it through your training credit.

The curriculum

What your team learns

Seven modules that take your people from AI basics to what the EU AI Act asks of them, and how to apply it in their day-to-day work.

1AI basics+

What AI is and what it isn't, and the vocabulary that makes the rest click: AI, machine learning, deep learning, generative AI and LLMs, explained with everyday work examples.

2Generative and agentic AI+

The difference between a generative tool, an AI system and an AI agent, using the EU AI Act's own definitions. Real cases from companies like Octopus Energy, Spotify, Zara and Walmart.

3Risks, ethics and responsible use+

The five risks every employee should recognise: bias, hallucination, misalignment, jailbreaking and data leakage. What's safe to share with an AI tool, how to review an output before acting on it, and prompting skills that reduce risk.

4AI governance and the EU AI Act+

The four risk tiers, provider vs. deployer roles, what Article 26 asks of deployers, how GDPR fits in, and a day-to-day checklist for using AI tools at work.

5Your organisation's AI policyPersonalised+

This module becomes yours. We turn your company's AI policy into content your people can follow, with a comprehension check that confirms they've understood how to act on it.

6Use cases in business+

Judgment calls on real work: which tasks can be automated, where the gains are, and which risk is most likely in each scenario.

7Summary and final evaluation+

A recap of the whole course and the final evaluation that certifies each employee and qualifies the course for FUNDAE bonification.

Built for inspections, and for people who actually use AI

Your policy, not a generic one

AESIA looks for training that reflects how your company uses AI. Module 5 turns your own AI policy into something your people understand and can act on.

Compliance and capability together

Your team learns what the law asks and how to use AI well at work, with prompting practice and real business cases, so the training pays off beyond the audit.

FAQ

Questions we hear from HR and compliance teams

Does Article 4 apply to my company?
If your employees use AI tools as part of their work, including ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini or AI features inside the software you already use, the answer is almost certainly yes. Article 4 applies to providers and deployers of AI systems, and most companies are deployers.
How does the FUNDAE bonification work?
The course is FUNDAE-eligible, so Spanish companies can fund it through their annual training credit. With our full-service option we handle all the bonification paperwork for you. If your available credit doesn't cover every seat, we'll tell you upfront and suggest how to phase the rollout.
How long does it take each employee?
About 5 hours, fully self-paced. Most people complete it in two or three sittings, without blocking time out of their calendar for a live session.
What evidence do we get for an inspection?
A certificate and completion record for every employee, weekly progress reports during delivery, and a final Article 4 evidence pack you can hand to AESIA if they ask.
Can the course include our own AI policy?
Yes. Module 5 is built around your company's policy. If you don't have one yet, the course ships with a solid default framework, and we can point you to legal partners who draft them.
What do you need from us to get started?
An employee list with the participant details FUNDAE requires for the bonification (we send you the template, so you know exactly what to fill in), plus your AI policy if you want it in Module 5. The course runs on a FUNDAE-ready platform with servers inside the EU, so there's nothing to install on your side.
We're not based in Spain. Can we still take it?
Yes. Article 4 applies across the EU. FUNDAE bonification is only available to Spanish companies, so outside Spain we quote per seat. Tell us where you're based in the form and we'll send the right plan.
